Sandra Root is qualified teacher who shares, along with her
staff team, a unique approach to discovery-based learning for children,
youth and adults. As an experienced
professional in the field of outdoor and environmental education, sh
enjoys helping others discover the joy of the natural world. All programs are designed to encourage respect for
the environment, to assist leaders to explore their skills in
communication and human dynamics, and to help clients keep alive an
inborn sense of wonder and appreciation for the diversity of life.

Through dynamic activity sessions, participants are challenged
and encouraged to learn more about the world in which they live and
play and work. Common to
all sessions is the approach: To explore and communicate appreciation
of the world through practical, hands-on, discovery-based experiences
Our team has been teaching,
leading workshops, and running environmental camping programs since
1991. We provide
customized Staff Training Sessions for professional associations,
recreational camps; and community groups. Clients choose from a variety of specialized programs, or call
to create a unique, customized training event.
Some of our more distinguished long-term clients include: The
Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board, The Hamilton-Wentworth
Separate School Board, City of Burlington Parks & Recreation; City
of Kitchener Parks & Recreation; City of York Parks &
Recreation; Oakville Parks and Recreation, the Anglican Diocese of
