Outdoor
Education means a lot of things:
To each person it may be different, but commonalities exist.
The majority of learning should be done outside in the natural
environment.
The experience should be a mixture of academic learning and
fun.
Students should be encouraged to discover new things about the world
in which they live, about themselves, and to apply their prior
knowledge so to develop greater understanding.
The learning should be inspiring, challenging and provocative.
Most importantly, "we need to do more than watch them grow, we need to
work with them, leading and learning together!"
