Booking Information

Transportation:

• Laidlaw Bus Lines is the pre-approved carrier

• A.m. pick up at school is 8:50, leaving Centre at 11:30 a.m. for return

• P.m. pick up at same school is 12:00 a.m. leaving the Centre at 2:30 p.m.

• Times are approximate but should be within 5 minutes, please be prompt

• You will be invoiced for busing at the rate of $2.50 per student to help assist with the transportation costs. Invoices will be sent directly to the school.  

• Please have the school secretary forward a cheque payable to:

Teacher Responsibilities:

• Complete all trip forms, Category 1, Principal approval only. 

• Parent Information and Permission form.

• Bring all emergency information and health information as well as any required medications.

• Arrange for volunteers to meet the 1:10 ratio required.

• Program instruction accommodates one class attending at a time, do not exceed the number of students indicated on your request.

• Provide parents with information regarding dress for the weather (boots, rainwear etc., program is cancelled only in severe thunderstorms).

• Supervise students and assist with the activities, supervise washroom visit to G. R. Allan School facility.

• Contact program supervisor Sandra Root at 905 627-3140 if you have questions regarding weather conditions.  The emergency cell phone number at the Centre is:  905 512-8155.

• Site is not accessible to handicapped students who require specialized transportation, no wheelchair accessibility or availability.

• Lunches are not necessary but teachers may wish to bring a class snack.  Please inform the on-site teacher if you choose to bring one.  Students do not need to bring backpacks or other equipment.

• Include information to parents that states our source of sponsorship and encourage them to call or write to recognize our sponsors, Hamilton Industrial Environmental Association and Columbian Chemicals.

• Please provide feedback on the program and 'Thank you' notes to our corporate sponsors.  Pictures and letters go a long way to encourage the continuation of programs such as these.  Thank You!
